So far, this week, I've run three marathons at sub 5hrs and, if possible I'd like to run the last two at that pace. I arrived at Shouldice Pool at 8.00am and runner Roy was ready to go. The start temp was -11C, a good 10 degrees higher than the previous few days. The sunrises have been incredible all week and today was no different. Every day the ice build up is increasing and the morning light is shot in all directions off the ice surfaces. At the Good Earth cafe, in Eau Claire Market, we've met up with Roy's mum and dad. They're living in downtown Calgary for a few months and are enjoying exploring the city. Lawyer Don joined us and away we went. Runner Michael was doing a 30km long run and decided to join us.

On December 12th Avatar Marathon Martin arrived in Vancouver. It was raining. AMM was very excited. He is a huge X Files fan and wanted to see some of the filming locations for the series. He found a movie bus tour and hit the road. His main focus was the building where Scully's apartment was located. The bus tour continued and took him all over the city. The next stop was the production studio for Battle Star Galactica. He had really enjoyed the new series. So say we all. He left Vancouver at 6.00pm. It was raining.
