The temperature has been improving all week and finally, at 12noon today, it hit zero. But let's go back to 0500 and the alarm. I'm fed up with this alarm, so I switched it off and went back to sleep. That's not a good thing, as I had arranged to meet Principal Darren at 0800. After a quick trip in the Pace Car, along the 1A, up Shaganappi Trail, across John Laurie Boulevard and down Breneer St. I arrived at Dr E.W Coffin School. Principal Darren was waiting for me. Not good. Note to self; must not be tardy!!!! The school goes from Kindergarten to Grade 6 and has 180 students. At the 10.00am assembly, grade 2ers Wade and Laura welcomed me and gave me a "Right To Play" button they had made. The rest of the day was spent running 0.5km loops, near the school.

The run finished at 4.00pm and I had a hot tub and chocolate milk. I had to leave the house at 4.50pm as I had a very important appointment at 5.00pm. Sue had received an email last week from Angie. Her son was having a birthday and, instead of presents, he had asking that his buddies make a donation to Right To Play. Treyton goes to Elizabeth Barrett School, in Cochrane, and on November 19th he turned 8. He collected $200 at his party and his younger sister, Tiana, is very proud of him. I was thrilled to collect the donation and very happy to present him with a Marathon Quest 250 hat. This lad has the right stuff.
