Last Saturday, United Communities sponsored a marathon for Right To Play at Siverado for $2,500. Today they were doing the same thing at Sage Hill, in Calgary. Sue and I arrived at the community at 8.00am and I started my run around a duck pond. Events Coordinator and Kick Box Champion Misty had helped United Communities organise a family day. This included face painting, balloon art and lots of free food.  There was another item that caught my eye and I knew I had to try it.

Like many of us, I have a bucket list. These are things I want to do before I kick the bucket. Right after #65. Run 250 marathons in one year, is #66. Bouncy Castle. I chatted with Matt, owner of Bouncy Castle Inc, and asked him if I could have a go. He said sure but there were two rules I had to follow 1. No shoes and 2. No stepping on the kids. With my recent history I thought No.2 may be an issue. Still I didn't hesitate and had soon completed a good 5 minute warm up for the marathon.

The weather today was brilliant, warm with a cool breeze. A number of kids and some adults joined me on the marathon and we had a blast, doing loops around the pond. At the end of the day, on top of the $2,500 donated by United Communities, the locals had donated $374.00 to Right To Play. Great job everyone.
